I'm Nerissa

When you look me up online, you’ll see that I’m an international keynote speaker, transformational coach and bestselling author.

But what I’m most proud of?

I get to work with remarkable individuals

(like you!) and empower them to step into their light — and become a lighthouse for others.

Because my life and my story

were once so far from this reality.

Sometimes, it’s the things that break us that have the true potential to make us.

When I hit rock bottom, I realised no one was coming to save me. Only I had the power to change my story.

Don’t stand like that. Don’t speak like that. For God’s sake,

don’t show up like that!

Yup, those were the sounds of my childhood. Growing up, I never fit in anywhere. Everyone wanted me to stand, talk, walk and dress like the other little girls my age. I really tried. But I just couldn’t fit the mould of the “good Indian Christian girl” society wanted me to be.

My differences weren’t celebrated. I was bullied and belittled at every step. I was told I was worthless, that I didn’t belong.

Those words cut deep, and I started to believe them. I lost my confidence, my voice, my light. I became a shadow of myself, scared of standing out, afraid of being seen or heard.

So for the first time in my life, I decided to say YES to ME.

It was a long, challenging and transformative journey of self-discovery. I had to push myself out of my comfort zone, shatter decades of negative conditioning and persevere through countless breakdowns and breakthroughs — to reach the dawn of my becoming.

And it all led to that moment when, after a lifetime of living in fear and denial, I finally found the courage to come out to the world — and show up as my real, authentic and unapologetic self.

Today, I’m exactly who I was born to be. In all my rawness, realness and brokenness — called to serve humanity.

There’s a saying: “The habits you created to survive will no longer serve you when it’s time to thrive.”

I learned the hard way that the habits, beliefs and coping behaviours we develop early on can be super hard to shake off.

And it’s a lot harder if you try to do it all by yourself.

I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t reach out and ask for help. I’m living proof that with the right coaching and mentorship, you can discover your voice, embrace your truth, and create your own incredible future.
